Hello, my name is Brian Lin, and I am a Fine Arts graduate.  My interest in the arts stem from as far back as my elementary school days where I loved playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on my Sega Genesis.  After beating the game several times, my lust for more Sonic related content had to be satiated one way or another.  Therefore, my 6 year old self decided to take the instruction booklet from within the game case and teach myself how to draw Sonic the Hedgehog so that I may be able to put him in positions of greatness that were imagined through my innocent little mind.  From there I went on to drawing more and more of my favorite cartoon characters when I felt the content available at the time was not enough.  It is then my parents noticed that I had a talent and eye for creating Art.

From there on out, I trained under the field of fine arts in the hope that I could make something that was wonderful for everyone to view.  It became my obsession to abandon my old ways of learning through creating and began a strange style of imitation.  Eventually, this would lead to my acceptance into the LA County High School for the Arts to focus more on honing my abilities to create Art, but no matter how many classes I took, something was missing.....

It wasn't until deep into my degree at Cal Poly Pomona that I began to understand myself and what was dragging me behind.  I no longer wanted to create things for the purpose of others, I began draw and make pieces for myself.  It is with this philosophy that I wish to carry with me into the professional world of Art and I wish to leave my mark in not only the community, but the world.
